    Just listened to this ep where you said you had trouble having a central place to store files on a network with both PC and Mac (@ 6mins on the podcast) I might be able to help.

    We use both a PC server and a NAS drive that we connect to on the Macs with Snow Leopard’s “connect to server” feature. Depending on the netgear stuff you have, this might be the go. The external device will be like a mounted drive on the Desktop of your Mac/s.

    And if you set up your Login Items correctly, the external drives reappear on the desktop of the Mac when you start it up again.

    Let me know if this sounds like it might be a solution for you.

    THanks for the feedback – I’ll try it – I think witha READYNAS it works fine – but the STORA not so well, as its a more simplified network storage.
